Here are the 12 casual styles of draping a duppata you can choose.

#1The Classic Style

Duppata is pleated together and draped on one side of the shoulder.

 

#2 Saree Drape

One end of the duppata is pleated and tucked at the waist and other end is draped like a saree pallu.

 

#3 Shoulder Drape

This is the easiest way to drape a duppata- A single duppata is draped on both the shoulders.

 

#4 One Shoulder Drape

Simply drape your duppata on one shoulder without gathering or pleated

 

#5 Contemporary Style

Just gather the dupatta and hold it across your wrist on both sides from the back to the front and let it hang freely.

 

#6 Typical Bridal Style

In this two duppatas are used. One is drapped across the body and other one from the head.

 

#7 Rajastani Style

This style is mostly worn by rajastani brides. Dupatta is draped across the body in palloo fashion, then pulled up onto the head from behind.

 

#8 Reverse Pallu

Duppata is pleated and tucked at the from and draped on the shoulder from behid.

 

#9 The Veil Style

Duppata is simply drapped fron the bridal bun. . The best fabrics for this style are fine tulles, very light weight chiffons and georgettes.

 

#10 On the Wrist

This style works best with slightly heavier weighted fabrics like velevet, georgette, crepe etc. Drape one side of the duppata on the shoulder and other on the wrist.

 

#11 The Multani

This style works with even with anarkalis and salwar suits, where a heavy bridal dupatta is the highlighted on the outfit. Just pleat one end of the duppata and pin it over the shoulder and then take the duppata over the head and leave on the other side.

 

#12 Wrap Around

All you need to do is just wrap the duppatta around your shoulders.
