The 2012 chanel pre-fall collection "Paris-Bombay" by karl Lagerfeld is a clear reflection of the British raj in India,While the chanel element of tweed,the two-toned shoes and monochrome makes it very French chic, you could clearly see the Indian element with the dark kohl eyes,bindis, maang-tikas,silk draping and again,a reinvention of the sari and jodhpur pants. Designers made the sari centre stage by reinventing it into a more wearable,casual wrap but retainung the main element of it.The Rajasthan jodhpur pants also burst onto the fashion scene with this collection and ever since,it has become a main stream fashion trend for both men and men.
