The hot new trend of coloured foreheads and cheekbones helps fake a perfectly sculpted face.To get the look, start with a light lip stain and a base that matches the skin tone. Follow with a pink blush starting the forehead and merging into a red around the cheekbones. Remember to follow the natural curve of the face and blend the colours with a thick face brush.

 

Chrome Yellow

The combination of blue and yellow perks up a look by instantly brightening the eyes.The tricks is to start  with a light blue and finishes in a relatively defined outline.Complement it with a very strong yellow. Do not blend the two colours.

 

Primary Colours

 

Green and red combine to give this period poster feel. The look is best suited to lighter skin tones that enhances the contrasts . Highlight the cheek bones with a blush at least two shades darker than the colour of the base to achieve the angular feel this look needs. Dress up eyes with green eye shadow at the outer edges and extend to the under eyes too. Finish with bright red lipstick.

Colours get more opaque and come packaged with contrasts this season. From the bright  purple lips to orange  foreheads. Be sure to extend the eye shadow beyond   the conventional boundaries and complete the look with rich purple lip colour, adding a little gloss for effect.

Red wavy fabrics for all the occasions  making the fashion statement this season.Go for matching boots or kitten heels ,matching lipstick without accessories. silhouettes became neater, they also turns leaner ,placing a greater emphasis on the cuts and on hi-tech fabrics.Minimum accessories and styling seems to be the new mantra.Loafers make good combination for the silhouettes .

Renaissance

 

Return to the era of rich brocades and lush velvets.the featured  fitted bodice embroidered in gold thread was a tribute to the Dutch painters of Renaissance. Golden brocades, velvets, laces are inn again for the season.

Intense Black Eyes

A trend that never falls out of favor,intense eyes work very well for big,beautiful Indian eyes.

Best for : This look suits almost everyone,except those with dropping eyes. Play with  the intensity of darkness. Also , try to smudge a little eye shadow below the eyes for drama.

 

 

 

 

Carmine Lips

Face it you’ll never get bored of red lips . This colour instantly livens up a dull and tired  face.

Best for : As Indian skin tones have more of a yellow tinge , steer clear of bright reds . Opt a colour between scarlet and maroon in a creamy finish . The only other thing you need is mascara.

 

Bold Brows

 

The look flaunted by ancient Egyptian Royalty continues to be big.

 

Best for : The trend is a blessing for those who absolutely hate getting their brows done. While you may not want to go all untamed, it’s good idea to just do away with strays using a tweezer . For extra density,use a  brow set or pencil..

 

Metallic Hints

A little bit metallic sheen and glitter always translates into controlled glamour.

Best for : Everybody looks good with the right dose of glamour . But metallic's can be overpowering ,so avoid going overboard.

If you find metallic lipstick too much ,try a metallic eye liner . Metallic blues,greens, subtle gold and copper suit Indian skin tones.

The Kasavu Sari ; Now Becoming a Fashion Staple!

If you wanted the best kasavu sari in the world drop in at Karalkada in Trivandrum .They  were the original weavers for the Travancore royal family ,before they realized the commercial value of their weaves.
