TOMMY HILFIGER FALL 10 CHILDRENSWEAR COLLECTION
Tommy Hilfiger launch its first ever kids showroom in India with its Fall 10 collection.
The Tommy Hilfiger Fall 10 Children’s wear Collection, distinctly international in its appeal and aesthetics, embraces the brand’s “Classic, American Cool” persona whole heartedly. Drawing its inspiration from New York City, NASA expeditions of the 60’s and Nature, this seasons collections are of three major fashion groups.
The first being, Explore Beyond, inspired by the excitement and optimism of the NASA moon missions. Images of this mood feature astronauts, technology and Neil Armstrong’s footprint on the moon.
The colors of this look are the classic Tommy Hilfiger Red, Navy and White, with a pop of Peru Blue and Yellow for Boys, and a playful Prism Pink for girls.
The silhouettes are aspirational, preppy with a nod to heritage sports. Graphics have a vintage sports feel and also,playfully feature space, stars and rocket inspired details. Bold graphic tees are layered with clean gingham shirts,and paired with mid tones of denim and washed chinos. Outerwear is quilted and paneled, while sweaters feature Argyles, bold stripes and badges.
Explore Nature, the second fashion group, discovers the raw beauty of nature. A modern outdoor feel is achieved by mixing and layering checks, heathers and plaids. The overall feel is, ‘love-worn’ and comfortable .The graphics use an iconography of mountaineering and trekking. Tinted denims are teamed up with yarn dyed shirts with contrast details in knit fabric. The sweaters are heavily cabled and also feature Fair Isle patterns.
Nylon parka and jackets inspired by Himalayan expeditions of the 60s are reinvented with the colors of the season and rib details. Rugged distress details for boys and sweet ruffles and waist ties for girls, completes the look.
In Boys, Khaki, Olive and Navy are livened up by River Gold and Ultramarine Green. For girls the colors feature a soft Grey Heather with Performance Purple and Sheer Lilac.
The last theme as approach the festive season is Explore NYC.Following a child walking through New York and imbibing its cool, urban, eclectic vibe. The collection is very rock & roll with a touch of glam. The clothes take a child from just hanging out right up to their first party.
Prints feature posters for rock bands, graffiti and street signs. Girls can sport sequins elements and foil prints, and boys can team up smart jackets and tees for a party look. Sweatshirts with striking branding graphics teamed up with dark, rich denims complete this look.
