TIE AND DYE [BANDHINI]


From the deserts lands of kutch to inspiration for designers collection ,Bandhini ,the traditional indian craft is now enjoying a new contemporary look.
Bandhini is an ancient art of tie-bye that originates in the deserts lants of Bhuj and Mandvi in kutch,Rajkot in Saurashtra and also fron Rajasthan.
Bandhini is very intelligent technique as it requires lot of planning og design.
In the recent wills lifestyle fashion show Tarun Tahiliani intrepeted his collection with tie and technique and Anitha Dongre also found inspiration in the traditional art of tie and dye for a new line ,'inter-pret'.The variations were done in the use of fabric, the colors and the silhouettes,which got a western interpretation.Even Rahul Mishra already started working on a new collection.
