Floor-grazing palazzos of the 1970s are back .
Deriving their name from ‘palace’ in Italian ,palazzo pants stand true to their luxurious roots;layers of lavish fabric sway delicately. These trousers first appeared in late 1920’s when they were popularised by Hollywood glamour dolls .With Wartime rationing around the 1940s,this wide-legged silhouette made way for narrow drainpipes. But it was era of the flower power loving hippies when they truly came to the fore. Everything flared and relaxed was truly loved in this period. This season , with designers from stefano pilati , Sanchita Ajjampur and Anna Sui embracing the 1970s, palazzo pants have once again found their way into wardrobes if the bourgeois bohemians.
